Our Story
Founded in 2012, On Call Mobile Welding began as a single service truck built around a simple idea: bring professional-grade welding and fabrication directly to where the work is—roadside, jobsite, yard, or facility. From the start, our focus was fast response and fair pricing. As word spread across DFW, we added seasoned welders and fitters, expanded training, and invested in better equipment and processes to reduce repeat visits and downtime.
By our fifth year, we were supporting growing fleets, contractors, facilities, and logistics providers through day-and-night calls as well as scheduled projects. Milestones include building a fully equipped mobile welding team, adding aluminum and stainless capabilities, and developing relationships with regional steel suppliers to secure materials faster. Today, we continue to evolve—modernizing inventory, refining safety standards, and mentoring apprentices—while holding tight to the commitment that started it all: keep work moving and customers confident.
Meet the Owner, Chris Monroe
Chris Monroe grew up turning wrenches and burning rod alongside family mentors, learning early that precision and integrity matter as much as speed. After earning hands-on experience in mobile welding, fabrication, and heavy-duty repairs, Chris launched On Call Mobile Welding in 2012 to solve a common problem: crews and fleet managers needed a reliable partner who would show up when promised and do it right the first time.
Chris is qualified in multiple welding processes, including stick (SMAW), flux-core (FCAW), and MIG (GMAW), and is experienced with aluminum and stainless repairs. He’s known for practical troubleshooting, clear communication, and a safety-first mindset. Whether it’s a late-night roadside crack repair or a complex structural modification in a yard, Chris makes sure each job is prepped properly, welded to spec, and verified before sign-off.
Deeply connected to the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, Chris supports local drivers, contractors, small businesses, and regional carriers with the same level of care. He believes in fair pricing, honest timelines, and educating customers so they can prevent the next failure.
